Abstract
A lymphangioma is a benign tumor which is composed of lymphatic vessels and spaces containing chylous, serosanguinous or serous material. A lymphangioma in the gastrointestinal tract is usually small sized and incidentally diagnosed because it does not cause significant symptoms. However, when abdominal pain, bleeding, intussusception or intestinal obstruction develope, it requires surgical resection. Recently, we experienced a case of multiple jejunal lymphangioma with recurrent bleeding in a 53 years old renal transplant recipient presenting with chronic anemia. Small bowel series, capsule endoscopy and computerized tomograpy scan revealed a 4.5¡¿6.5 cm sized mass on jejunum. The patient underwent a laparoscopic segmental resection of jejunum without any complication. (J Korean Surg Soc 2006;70:83-86)
